The Lincoln Project, a political action committee (PAC) born in December 2019 from the brains of moderate conservatives and ex-Republicans who aren’t exactly fans of former U.S. President Donald Trump and his MAGA followers, just dropped a new ad that makes former President Trump look like he lost a wrestling match with a porcupine.
The latest LP spot is hands down the best one they’ve churned out in ages. I mean, let’s not forget these folks had plenty of practice while Trump was running the show from 2017 to 2021. But hey, 2017 feels like a century ago, and Trump has evolved as a comedic target since then. Back in the day, they could just poke fun at some goofy blunder he made or a foreign policy slip-up and gripe about how a clown was steering the ship. Ah, simpler times!
The former president has experienced a significant decline since his emergence on the political scene in 2015. And now, Lincoln Project is resorting to the same attacks that Trump previously used against Joe Biden before Biden exited the race and endorsed his vice president as his successor.
They are essentially reversing Trump’s previous criticism of Biden back onto Trump, a tactic that Trump frequently employs. However, despite being four years older, Biden has not experienced the same level of physical and cognitive decline as Trump.
